We are delighted to welcome you to our charming period home, nestled in the famous Slad Valley, which was immortalised by Laurie Lee in his book Cider with Rosie.

This international bestseller has brought visitors from far and wide, to be enchanted by Laurie Lee’s vivid descriptions of this unspoilt valley. Our home has wonderful views over the delightful wooded valley, which is dotted with houses and farms built in the famous honey-coloured Cotswold stone.

Situated down a quiet country lane, Rose Cottage is the perfect place to unwind and spend a relaxing break. We are also well located for exploring the Cotswolds, and for guests who enjoy walking in the idyllic Gloucestershire countryside. Rose Cottage is the only bed and breakfast in Slad, and we have two recently refurbished en-suite rooms available for our guests.

You will begin the day with a full English breakfast, cooked on our Aga, and sourced where possible from local farms. Breakfast is served in the dining room and on colder mornings enjoyed by the cosy log fire. In the evenings you can dine at the award winning Woolpack Inn, a 10 minute walk away in the centre of the village of Slad.
